Sky High Wood Cut

This 4 foot by 8 foot woodcut was printed using a steamroller on Granville Island with Master Printmaker Peter Braune of New Leaf Editions. This exciting event captured on video bellow was made possible by the Craft Council of BC. Take a quick look at the exciting printmaking process!

I’ve been printmaking since art school. Carving this giant woodblock was both a joy, and a massive undertaking! More than 80 hours went into the carving alone! In this video you get to see the incredible steam roller printmaking process, and the excitement of the big reveal.

I have monotypes, and linocuts as well with birch trees and forest themes. As this website developes, I’ll add more photos. Let me know if you would like to see what I have in process, or head over to my instagram, @bevellisfineart

Send me a note and let me know what you think! Should I carve some more? Would you like to own this piece? This piece is beautifully stretched on a custom frame and ready to hang!
